Damn Good Dim Sum Dinner

The Damn Good Dim Sum Dinner is the first fundraiser for Gastrojax, Inc, hosted by the talented Chef Dennis Chan at Blue Bamboo. Gastrojax will be bringing Jacksonville Gastrofest.

Dim Sum is traditionally served on small plates or steamer baskets, with tea. For those who haven’t had it, it’s often described as the Asian version of tapas. Typically dim sum is quick in-and-out lunch format, but this event is in more of a dinner format. Includes tea and will be served in a three-course format. Each “course” will consist of three dim sums, served in a three tier basket.

We’ll be offering both an omnivore version and a vegan version. Here’s what’s on the menu:

Ominvore Dim Sum:  Each diner will receive nine dim sums: Pork Potsticker, Seafood Shao Mai, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Curry Beef Pastry, Fried Crab Wonton, Steamed Custard Bun, Chicken Sticky Rice, Steamed Pork Belly Bun, and a Steamed Shrimp Dumpling.

Vegan Dim Sum: Each diner will receive nine dim sums:  Veggie Lettuce Wraps, Mushroom Stuffed Tofu, Bean Curd Roll, Edamame Potstickers, Custard Bun, Curry Squash Pastry, Crispy Radish Steamed Bun, and two other dumplings.

Tickets are $40 or $35 per if you buy two tickets. Go to eventbrite to buy tickets.
